Though the stories we build for tennisplayer.net are pointedly focused on enduring instruction rather than specific news events such as ATP and WTA tournaments, when our tennisplayer.net team set about the task of developing our 2026 editorial calendar, we knew one big occurrence was going to hit the tennis radar that would create a tremendous opportunity to connect both instruction and news: the induction of Roger Federer into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
With that in mind, this issue simply has one title: Roger Federer.
It’s tempting, of course, to treat this magnificent tennis player as a form of singular brilliance, sent toward the planet strictly to provide pleasure and inspiration. After all, how dare anyone think that he or she can actually learn specific techniques from someone so incredibly smooth?
But the truth is you can – provided you pay close enough attention.
