For 40 years, Tim Mayotte has been one of tennis’ most curious, passionate, and outspoken personalities. As a player, he reached the top ten in four separate years, along the way earning 12 ATP singles titles, a silver medal at the ’88 Seoul Olympics, and victories over such greats as Sampras, Agassi, McEnroe, and Connors.
As a coach, while running the USTA’s High-Performance Tennis Center in New York, Tim became convinced that the U.S. must dramatically improve the technical know-how of its coaching education. Tim continues to push the envelope about what American tennis needs to regain its supremacy.
