Elise Mertens won her second title of the year but the historic part was in the semis, when Mertens had to save 11 match points to come back vs Ekaterina Alexandrova.
That's the most match points saved by any match-winner on the WTA in the 2020s.

She then beat Ruse Sunday in straight sets for the title.
