The new Sports Illustrated has the Federer-Nadal match on its cover, the match is being talked about on sports talk radio, and there was even a piece on the match in the New York Times op-ed page (the real op-ed page where they usually talk about issues like war and peace and global warming). So here is the question: what should the USTA, the ATP or the USPTA do to take advantage of, and expand, the positive momentum generated by that great final? The amazing Laver-Rosewall WCT final gave tennis a shot in the arm without any need for additional add-on efforts but that was a different time before we had 200 cable channels and the internet to diffuse all of our attention. Any thoughts would be welcome.
