A New Teaching System:
The One Handed Backhand
Forward Swing
John Yandell
We’ve looked at the preparation (Click Here) and the backswings (Click Here) on the one handed backhand. Now let’s look at the execution of the forward swing. The keys are simple. Get the hitting arm straight at the bottom of the backswing. Now use your front shoulder to swing the arm and racket as a unit to the extension point. See the checkpoints for that and also understand some of confusing issues about the one hander that make it seem more complex than it really is.
