The Serve:
Contact Point
John Yandell
The contact point is the moment of truth on the serve or any shot. In the last article we showed you how to develop a pro level technical swing path. Now let's zero in on the most important moment in that path--the split second when the strings strike the ball. In my system, understanding and creating a great contact point means understanding two dimensions-- the position of the contact from left to right and from front to back. How far to the side do you hit? And how far in front? See how to use high speed video and physical and visual modeling to move your contact toward the model of the great Roger Federer!
