A good looking forehand but could it have more power?
Sometimes when we look at strokes in this section, there are fairly severe technical problems. Sometimes many elements are solid and one or two are off. Other times the stroke may be technically sound, but the player still wants to achieve something more.
This is the case with Allan Murphy’s forehand, sent to us all the way from Vanlose, Denmark. It’s just amazing to see how widely our community has grown. We are truly international and I think that’s fabulous.
When Allan wrote to me, his question was–how can I get more power? Usually when someone asks that I look at the stroke and there are technical issues that have to be corrected before the issue of "power" should even be mentioned. But with Allan, I can’t say that I really saw any huge technical flaws. It’s a similar to when we looked at Kevin Patrick’s forehand. (Click Here.) The question in both cases was the same: what can an accomplished player do to get more out of a fundamentally sound swing?
Allan’s turn is good, but it could go further.
