  • Halle aka Terra Wortmann Open on Grass !

Opening round FAA vs Thiem, who beat him at 2022 US Open.
I remember Thiem beating Fed on Halle's grass - before Thiem's wrist injury.

Others at Halle include Medvedev, Zverev, Hurkacz, Rublev, and Sinner.

Tsitisipas and Medvedev, both coming off upsets, still look strangely passive on grass.

Down a set and break to number 58 ranked journeyman Barrere, did force Tsitisi to (gasp) try some S&V ! So, maybe this will help him at Wimby.

ATP "The Greek deployed serve-and-volley tactics effectively to forge his comeback inside OWL ARENA, where he won 76 per cent (28/37) of points when he came to the net."

Seb Korda looks happy and (finally?) healthy!

This is the Cinch/London but I'm too lazy to start yet another thread. Sorry !

If he gets his A game back, he's a Wimbledon dark horse. Full court game.

Seb tween lob, on this shot it helps to have long legs. Brief vid on twitter. Vs Evans.

Hmm. This is old but ... "restored"

Ben Shelton won his first ever match on grass. This is also at Cinch. (sorry, lazy)

Remember, Ben travelled outside the US for the first time in his life to go on tour.

This serve makes Ben, a 20 yo 2x NCAA champ a threat in most any match.

Meanwhile .... The Octopus drowns on grass again.

Out to RBA and he, like Rune, goes down but unlike Rune, that was the end of the match. Short vid of final point with the "takedown".

Alexander Bublik {sort of Kyrgios with a better personalty) wins in Halle beating consecutively Jannik Sinner (ret), Alexander Zverev 3 & 5, and Rublev in 3 sets.

Very impressive by Bublik. As far as a better personality than Nick, no doubt, like every other player on ATP tour, a better personality than Nick.

Hah! A cactus is less prickly.

But who else gives us the "entertainment" of being sued by a fan, and settling with a payment to charity, over announcing loudly to the Wimbledon crowd and TV, "She's had like 700 drinks." ?
