It's Iga vs Jasmine in the final for the first time in Cinci. Although Jasmine is in good form, their H2H is 5-0 for Iga.

Thanks to some dubious scheduling, Jasmine has had to play 3 days in a row, plus doubles this AM.

Rybakina played Iga well in their semifinal. For a while. Took a 5-3 lead in the first set on her serve. Then Iga took over. Rybakina had led their H2H 4-2 but Iga has won the last 4 straight.

Here are Tennis Insight's stats for Cinci on the two men's finalists.

I don't believe Sinner's serve barely topped the ATP ave nor that Alcaraz's serve has been virtually as effective. The ATP "Leaderboard" stats, which I believe are calculated differently now have Sinner as the best server on tour {jumping past Gio and Fritz} while Alcaraz is number 11.

Wow. Sinner retires down love-5. Said he had been sick since yesterday.

Shame for everybody. Hope it's not serious. Don't see any details yet.

“I’m super, super sorry to disappoint you,” Sinner said to the fans. “From yesterday I didn’t feel great. I thought that I would improve during the night, but it came up worse. I tried to come out, tried to make it at least a small match, but I couldn’t handle more, so I’m very sorry.”

Atmane, Cinderfella of Cinci, had to withdraw from the USO qualifying. Shame.

ATP: "Surprise Cincinnati Open semi-finalist Terence Atmane has withdrawn from US Open qualifying due to a foot injury, the Frenchman announced on social media.

"Hello everyone. After a foot MRI yesterday in NY we detected an intermediate grade partial tearing of the first MTP joint [a] Grade 2 muscle injury involving the medial head of the flexor hallucis brevis. Low-grade partial tearing of the medial sesamoidal phalangeal ligament," Atmane wrote on Instagram Stories. "Which in other terms won't make me able to play the US Open...

"I do feel sad about it because with the last result I want to push for more but trying to be smart and get myself ready for Asia was the best decision for my team and I."
