"When you are an 0-for against somebody I know what it feels like because I was 0-16 against Lendl and the last time I played him I 0-15. I was up 4-1 in the third in Philly on a fast Supreme and I knew that I had cracked my ankle. I was probably playing loose. I had a high volley on top of the net to go up 5-1 and absolutely choked it. I lose 7-5 in the third. I'm icing my ankle, sitting on the training table. Lendl comes over and puts his arm around me and he says...if I had a 110 temperature and I was on my death bed I wouldn't fucking lose to you."

Lendl one of my all time favorites. He has been overshadowed by the crazy big 3 accomplishments, but to me he is easily one of the top 5 or 6 of all time. He made so many Majors Finals. His record certainly in those Finals was not as good as he woukd have liked, but he always competed so well against some great players those matches. He was easily the best player in the world for at least 3 years.
