  • Players with the most matches won in the Open era...

Fantastic video...watch players eating their way up the food chain. Jimmy Connors gets on top early and just stays there. Guillermo Vilas..."weak forehand and serve" and all, number five all-time. GOAT? Save it. No such thing. There are great players and then there are even greater players. Modern tennis is a joke. It's fake and the talent pool is severely diluted. The depth of draws suck and there is no greater proof than the fact that Alcarez and Sinner have faced off in the last 8 Grand Slams. I hate to break it to all of you. It sucks and I saw it coming forty some years ago. Nobody listened of course. I screamed..."they are taking the art out of the game!!!".

The Open Era started in 1968 which is coincidentally the year that I began playing tennis...with Mom and Dad. Coincidentally...the Skultorp Tennis Club here in Sweden where I worked for ten years without missing a day of work was started in 1968. It's a small world really. We are separated by mere degrees of separation.

I have been to DC twice. Both times for the Washington Star tournament that Don Budge arranged for his tennis camp to attend. His camp was in McDonough, Maryland.
