One minor observation regarding the play at Shanghai. I saw nothing but highlights but I noticed in his match against Denis "Mr. Pencil" Medvedev, Rinderknech was showing some rather nice movement around the net. Some serve and volley tactics against Medvedev standing light years behind the baseline. Rinderknech had quite the "nose for the net" and showed a rare ability to anticipate the pass and close in on the net to execute his volleys which in turn really accentuates his ability to play the angles with soft placement volleys.
