      Safina

I am glad you have added Safina to the archive. Her forehand always looked awful to me and the video confirms it. She is often late and on top of the ball and the head and shoulders do not rotate the way they are supposed to.Also looks like an early release of the wrist. What are ur thoughts?

Well I think the term "awful" is a little harsh, because she blows many elite women off the court with it.

Her turn is great in terms of the stretch of the left arm. She hits a lot of neutral stance forehands and whne you do that and don't rotate the foot off the court the total shoulder rotation is less if that's what you mean.

I think she is often late at contact though and you can also see this in the reduced extension.

Nice video and commentary on the reverse forehand. This is such an important aspect of the modern pro game and deserves more attention than it gets.
