1handed backhand

I have a tendency to release the left hand a little early ,i think waist height,instead at left pocket height with the result of loss of control and power i think.My backhand looks like Dent but studying his, he does not let go the left arm until it does reaches his left pocket. I find it hard to correct this and any sugestions would be appreciated

If you backhand looks like Taylor's, congratulations! I wouldn't worry though about the height at which your left hand releases. In fact I wouldn't think of it that way at all--that's not really the way it works.

Instead the arms oppose. As soon as the racket starts forward, the left arm should start backwards. That's regardless of height. Federer shows it about as well as it can be shown.
