  • Open Stace feet position

When hitting open stance backhand and forehand are your feet supposed to form a 45 line. I am thinking of using open stance to help me get behind the ball for one-handed backhand. How should the feet be aliened to the ball on the open stance?

OK Marty you are up to the 3 question per week rule! (especially on the free trial...)Yes good idea about the alignment on the one-handed backhand. I would focus on that, with the opposite foot in the turn position--that is up on the toes and in front and to the side. Go look at the Bob Hansen articles. They show it perfectly on all the groundstrokes. Now when you swing your weight will naturally shift to the front foot, but I wouldn't think about trying to place it at a certain angle--that should pretty much happen.
