The ball speed article is fascinating. We've seen glimpes of this type of information in the shot spot data they sometimes throw in on ESPN, but this is a better overview and for me it really hit home. I mean the incredible variety of speed from shot to shot--and the changes in speed in the blink of an eye between the rackets.

It blows me away that in all my years of watching tennis, I never noticed this and it gives me renewed inspiration about focusing--really focusing--on the ball and how that kind of impecible concentration is critical.

Also renewed admiration for the difficulty of the physics in our game. More please!

First of all, John Yandell and Scott Murphy are back !!!
    C'mon !!!

Those new indications about ball's speed,
are going to write something new about tennis.
John in the next articles, you have to focus on that changes of speed,
and the use of the eyes in tracking those differents speeds.
You have to give us, the right sistem for doing that.
We have read thousands times, that timing is everything.
Well nothing is more related with timing that ball's speed and your eyes.
" Bend your knees and watch the ball" is the most trite teaching's advice,
of ever. Well I am sure that with TennisPlayer we will learn,
in which way we have to " watch the ball "
    Thank you.
