Hi I like some input on video cameras . I need to get a good video camera to record and play back in slow motion so I can freeze frame some of my kid's strokes. Also I want to use it for match play when they play matches, where I've seen other parents and coaches rig up a hook to set it on top of the fence . So please give some advise on which model works best... I don't need the latest and the greatest .... thanks KM

The models and the brands are changing so fast that I cannot keep up with it.

The absolute best option is the Sony VX 2100. That's about $2200 if you get in online from BandH camera.

The lower level Sony and Canon cameras are probably what you want but you need a sports shutter setting to freeze the action. If you look around on the web, they don't usually include this info about the cameras.

You can search on the canon and sony sites.

This Sony Camera does have it though:

    It's like $350.

You could also go to Best Buy or Circuit City or whatever and ask about the sports shutter setting and prices.
