  • ATP Launches InfoSys Stat Site, Numbers Correlate with RG Spin, Speed Stats

The ATP has launched a new stat service with InfoSys, which will apparently supply stats and visualizations for ATP matches corresponding to what InfoSys does for Roland Garros. So far, the stats are limited:

UPDATE: New link for ATP's new Infosys center. Perhaps we weren't supposed to see the first one, now a 404. This is from Ruud winning San Diego finals.

    Press release:

At first blush, with limited stats up for one match, the results seem consistent with the TPN articles by John and me on new spin and speed measurements.

Here's one from Casper Ruud at Indian Wells today showing an unspecified ground stroke at 199 km/h which is approx 124 MPH -- much like what he did at Roland Garros. Another of Ruud's winners is measured as 3,412 RPMs at 195 Km/H.

Not conclusive, but it shows consistency with RG measurements.

This is a screen cap. Stats are only shown for "winners", yellow are aces, green are other winners.
