For more than two decades, Giancarlo has helped shape the technical and visual foundation of Tennisplayer.net through his close collaboration with founder John Yandell. He played a central role in building the Stroke Archive, personally filming, editing, and organizing over 100,000 super–slow-motion videos of the world’s top players—one of the most extensive high-speed tennis libraries ever assembled. His work also extended to a New York Times interactive on Rafael Nadal’s forehand, where he served as a technical editor alongside Yandell.
Originally from Switzerland, he earned a national ranking and played No. 1 for Dominican University in California. His perspective blends competitive experience with a lifelong study of stroke mechanics.
Outside the tennis world, he works as a business lead and project management director, guiding major creative and digital initiatives for technology clients.
