    Wawrinka takes down Nadal
    Ferrer fends off Isner
Murray bends but does not break against Gasquet.
Djokovic survives Berdych. Berdych had set points in each set vs. Djokovic. Pushed him to the brink.

Many will say what Berdych did wrong and how he missed a golden opportunity. But the silver lining...he's still in the semis...in doubles.

        Bh Volley Technique??

When Novak lost his serve in the long 4th game of the second set, the decision to serve and volley was questionable as a tactic, but the form he demonstrated on that bh volley was absolutely atrocious.

The whole tenor of the match changed at that point.

After winning 29 sets in a row???

It happens quick doesn't it? Great match so far. Crowd really got behind Stan in 2nd set. I guess we will see who wants it here in the 3rd.

Djokovic has a habit of serving and volleying on big points. Remember he did it against Stan down match point in the 2014 Aussie Open. Completely butchered that one as well.
Djokovic still too good in other areas of the game and bageled Wawrinka in 3rd set.

Murray better conjure up the game plan and visions of Montreal when he beat Djokovic. He did it by stepping up and playing....wait for it...aggressive. He came in and...wait for it...finished points at net.
Does Bjorkman still have that match tape.
Andy, call me if interested in the S&V! Although, Bjorkman knows a few things as well.

                All Djokovic. All the time.

                Djokovic is simply Murray 2.0

Murray must have lost the match tape from Montreal.

A Boring Tournament…in not so Gay Paris

Read the article…it neatly summarizes just how boring the match was not to say the state of modern tennis. Afterall…tennis is being ruled today by a virtual backcourt machine. Novak Djokovic. Backhands…forehands. No mention of any sort of all court tactics or serving tactics. Just groundstrokes. Endless discussion about groundstrokes. Snooze alert!

It was a boring tournament. It never got off of the ground. Maybe for a second when Roger came out and smoked Seppi for lunch. Everyone thought that he might just maintain the form that he showed in that match. But the fact of the matter was that it was not only not in the cards…it wasn't in Roger's itinerary. He hadn't penciled it in.

Roger is planning on peak performance next week. He eked by in Basel by following the plan. Lose early in Shanghai…regroup for Basel. Here we go again. Shades of last year. I was calling the loss to Raonic "timely" or "suspect"…I cannot remember which. But I swear Roger has all of this preparation nonsense down to a tee.

I guess we shall see next week.
