The Serve:
A Complete Teaching Progression

John Yandell

In this series on the serve we have taken an interventionist approach, looking at the key parts of the motion the same way a coach might if you came to his teaching or (or how I would anyway). Now let's put it all together into a blueprint. This article shows the motion step by step in a complete teaching progression. It's intended to help beginning and lower level players construct a high quality serve from the ground up. But it also gives players at all levels a way to look at the big picture and how the complex parts of this fascinating motion work together.
